MP3 bitrate — quality vs size:
How it works. WAV is read by our own parser (8/16/24/32-bit PCM, 32/64-bit float, EXTENSIBLE, RF64 — the Adobe Audition / UVR exports that trip up online converters); compressed formats decode via Web Audio; then the LAME codec builds an MP3 at your chosen bitrate. Everything is computed on your device — no server, nothing uploaded.

Note. MP3 is lossy: 320 kbps is practically transparent, 128 kbps gives a file three times smaller. Keep the WAV for archiving/mastering.

    FAQ

How do I convert WAV to MP3?
Drop a WAV file into the converter, pick a bitrate (128, 192 or 320 kbps) and click “Convert”. The MP3 is built right in your browser and downloads instantly — no sign-up, no software to install.
Is it free and safe? Are files uploaded to a server?
The converter is completely free, with no limits or watermarks. Nothing is uploaded — the entire WAV-to-MP3 conversion runs locally in your browser and your audio never leaves your device.
    Which MP3 bitrate should I choose — 128, 192 or 320 kbps?
320 kbps is top quality, virtually indistinguishable from the source (best for music and publishing). 192 kbps is a sensible quality/size balance. 128 kbps gives the smallest file (good for voice, drafts or saving space).
Is stereo and audio quality preserved?
Yes, stereo channels are kept. MP3 is a lossy format, but at 320 kbps the difference is inaudible. For archiving or further mastering, keep the original WAV — it is lossless.
Are 24-bit and 32-bit float WAV supported?
Yes. Our own WAV parser reads 8/16/24/32-bit PCM and 32/64-bit float, including exports from Adobe Audition, UVR and other editors that make ordinary online converters output noise. FLAC, OGG and M4A are recognized too.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes, up to 10 files at a time — you get a ZIP archive of ready MP3s. A single file downloads directly as an MP3.
